Tennis Coach
Milwaukee Tennis & Education Foundation (MTEF) is looking for experienced and energetic individuals who are motivated to teach tennis and promote positive youth development experiences.
JOB OVERVIEW: MTEF Coaches work directly with students ages 8-17 providing valuable mentorship, teaching and instruction. We are looking for coaches for our school year programs (September – May) with the option to stay on to work our summer camps. Our hours of service vary and you can build a schedule that best works for you. We run a variety of programs ranging from after-school community based (3-5pm weekdays) to weeknight (5-8pm)/weekend (Sunday afternoons (3-6) and one day events. Both Head and Assistant Coach Opportunities available dependent on prior experience.
AS A MTEF COACH, YOU:
Study and deliver tennis curriculum.
Provide class management.
Mentor, motivate and teach students.
Bring energy, intensity and strong work ethic.
Interact on and off the court to promote positive youth development experiences.
Assist with court setup and training aids.
AS A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE, YOU HAVE:
A passion for and/or experience with the game of tennis
A positive, team-focused, growth-oriented mindset
A commitment to support youth to meet their full potential
Experience working with youth in an athletic and/or academic environment
Ability and willingness to work with students from diverse cultural, academic, and economic backgrounds
Confidence facilitating learning activities with a group of students of various ages
Willingness to co-plan and/or co-facilitate with fellow Coach
Ability and desire to build rapport with program users and partners
A spirit of flexibility and willingness to pivot as needed.
At least two years part-time or full-time work experience of any kind
The ability to work a minimum of 4-6 hours per week
