TEAM (Tennis Education And Mentoring) is MTEF’s School Year program that runs September through June. Students in grades 4-12 are invited to join this program. With support from their families, players are expected to attend weekly tennis sessions and educational enrichment opportunities.

With a focus on building character, MTEF Coaches and Volunteers engage participants throughout the year with activities including tennis, tutoring, educational enrichment, service opportunities, and more. TEAM empowers a community of student-athletes to lead successful lives and make a positive impact in their communities.

This program is primarily offered to kids who participate in our summer camps and outreach programs, along with a few spots reserved for general public inquiries—specifically for kids who have played tennis in other community or school-based programs.

 Here’s how the process works:

• Registration: We open registration for TEAM in late August with an interest form.

• Evaluation Day: All players are asked to attend an evaluation day before we finalize the group for the school year.

Our spots are limited due to court space (especially from November to August), and we’ve found that keeping the group small ensures current players have the best opportunities for development.
